Oh what fun Christmas was this year!
Christmas Eve
Christmas eve was spent with the Graff family at Marlyn and George's house. ( I love this house! Beautiful view) The Graff Christmas Eve never disappoints! We had delicious food (ham, potato casserole (my favorite) cheese ball, rapsbery salad, Teryl's famous texas sheet cake) The evening was spent with Grandma presenting her year in review in the for of a book with the theme of  ducks. She even shared with us a few songs she had composed during the year. Very impressed!

We got through with the Graff's and went back to my Mom and Dad's and got a phone call from Nykell around 8:30. We were all super excited to talk with her. She sounded so great! We had a time limit of an hour. The time was well spent. Aevri wanted to talk to Aunt Kel the whole time and got pretty mad when she didn't get her way!

Christmas Morning
Jerico and I were so excited to have our first Christmas with Aevri.  I spent most of the month of December shopping for the perfect gifts for everyone.  We couldn't wait for Aevri to wake up and open her presents. My parents came down to our house at around 8. We had to wake Aevri up because we didn't want to wait any longer. I think I over did Aevri's gifts. She got : A huge pillow pet, a toy ride on horse, cookie monster, blocks, playskool CD player, clothes galore, curling iron, and a tooth brush. Guess what she liked the best? Not really interested in the toys. Her favorite things to do are still get in all of the cupboards, eat cell phones, and empty out her dressor drawers. Figures!

We heard from Chance at 10 am. We were suprised to hear from him so early. We hadn't even opened all the gifts yet! We were so happy to hear from Elder Graff and to hear that he was doing so well! We each talked with him individually and didn't do a lot of speaker phone like we had last time we talked. We are all so greatful to Nykell and Chance for serving a mission!

We were all super happy with all of our wonderful gifts. I got a new Cannon Rebel T1i! The best gift ever. Jerico got a new computer. Mom Dad and Morgan got a new laptop! Just what they needed so they can put the missionaries computers away before they break!

I wanted to get family pictures to send out in Christmas cards this year. My cousin Sydney does a great job with photography so I asked her to take them for us. She is so great to work with. Aevri is moving all over the place. I'm not sure I would exactly call it crawling.... but she definately is moving. She loves moving around to find all of her hidden toys and she even will try to get her kitty. She is too slow to get him but still has a lot of fun. She's getting pretty strong. You can tell in the pictures she is doing her baby push ups! WE LOVE YOU LITTLE MONKEY!!

Camping with the Winkel/Andersons

We got to go camping with Jerico family and his uncle's family. We went on Monroe Mountain by Koosheram. It was really cold. We had a lot fun fun hanging out by the camp fire, taking cover from the rain, riding four wheelers, playing cards, breakin open a pinata, eating birthday cake, eating lots of food, building huts, shoveling cow pies, fishing, unsnagging lines, playing horse shoes, and making hammocks. Needless to say we had a good time. Aevri loved camping. It's too bad our battery died the last night we were there. No battery = no heater. No heater= really cold. Really cold = sick baby!! Sorry Aevri!!

After swimming in Aevri's friend Briggs' pool, I decided Aevri needed on of her own. She loves swimming in her pool. She'll even get on her tummy in the pool (she's only taken a mouth full of water a few times). It's too bad we didn't buy it earlier!

I couldn't figure out why Aevri was crying on the way home from the store. Well I guess I figured it out. It must have been for 2 reasons :)
1. She must have been tired
2. Oh and she had a giant head band covering her eyes!
Woops sorry Aevri. The headbands are totally worthy it. They are super cute!

Thanks to Grandma Sue Aevri doesnt have to use her extremely unsafe Bumbo on the barstool for her high chair anymore. I found her new high chair on line. I absolutely love it. I don't know what I waited for so long to get one! Aevri loves it to. Now I don't have to supervise her at all times while she is sitting in her chair!! Right now Aevri absolutely loves her baby food. She's eating a good amount of rice cereal and half a container of fruits and veggies! She laughs and smiles the whole time she is eating!

I know I've blogged about Aevri's chubby cheeks before but this picture is absolutely priceless. It captures the hugesness of her cheeks so well! I love it. They are so kissable and squeezable. Aevri is sporting a little souvenior Jerico and I brought home from our little trip to San Diego. I had to go for work so Jerico decided to go along with me. He got to play at Torre Pines golf course. He said the course was amazing. We had fun hanging out around the town and doing a whole lot of nothing. It was hard leaving Aevri. It's so great to know that she was in good hands with my family. How lucky am I that I have such great parents that are always so willing to help us out!!!

4th of July

4th of July!
I know I know I'm way off on keeping my blog up-to-date. But it doesn't hurt to still try to capture the memories right? Well today I went home sick with a yucky stomache bug and decided today would be the day I would get a couple of blog posts completed. I have a ton of things to blog about but we'll just start with the basics since I''m so terribly behind.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we got to spend it with the Staheli Family. Tons of fun. I must say... holidays are much more entertaining and enjoyable when you have kids (for now I think that) I had so much fun picking out Aevri a 4th of July outfit (which was on sale because I bought it the day before the 4th :)) She looked absolutely adorable. Aevri was six months old. She had so much fun seeing everyone. She absolutely loves being around people. Aevri even got to be in her first parade on Staheli Hill.

Sunday night we spent the evening in Pine Valley. Beautiful weather, delicious food, and great company. I don't think I quit eating the whole time I was there. Aevri got to show off another one of her 4th of July outfits and got to spend time with her Grandpa Curtis and Great Grandpa Graff. She was an absolute angel. She even fell asleep in her carseat before we left. She has a pretty early bed time. I like it that way!

Aevri is getting way big and her dark thick hair is slowly fading! She's turning into a blondie! I can't believe it. She's still super cute (I think) We had so much fun with her Memorial Day weekend at the Ranch. She loves to be outside and see and hear new things!

Catch up!

So it's official. I have the most beautiful, sweet, baby in the world. Who knew that i could have so much fun with my sweet little Aevri. She is getting so big and is getting such a fun personality. here's a couple of highlights of the last month or so

• The last week of April she got sick for the first time. She had a really stuffy, nose, a fever, and was acting really tired. We decided to take her to the doctor. Sure inough she had an ear infection. Poor thing. She was a trooper. She was still her happy loving self the whole time she was sick. She loved her pink amoxicillin. I loved getting to take care of her because she was extra cuddley.
• May 4th she had her 4 month check up and shots. Dr. Clark said she was doing great. She is really strong and gaining weight really well. Dr. Clark keeps telling me how lucky we are who sleeps through the night (She's done that shince she was 10 weeks old) I know I know so lucky. Here 4 month stats : Lenth 24.25 in (50th%) Weight 13.56 (50th%) compared to her 2 month statst length 23 in (74th%) weight 10.56 lb (42th%).
• Friday May 7th. Aevri rolled over!! Total suprise. She was hanging out with Grandma Annette and unexpectedly she rolled over. I came home 1 minute later... We got her to do it again so I didn't feel too bad!
• For mother's day weekend we took a road trip to Richfield (her first road trip)We had a great time with Jerico's family. She got to play with all her cousins. They had a lot of fun. Her cousins all think Aevri is pretty cool.
• On mother's day we got to talk to Uncle Chance. It was good to hear from him. Aevri was asleep when aunt Nykell called. She didn't call until 11 pm. Aevri was asleep long before then!
• Thurdsay May 13th was our anniversary. We've been married 4 years! We had a good day. I had to work but we went to dinner later that night. We kind of celebrated all week by buying crap all week. We got a Dyson vacuum, treadmill, new running shoes for both of us and I indulged and bought some new perfume!
• Saturday May 15th Aevri went swimming for the first time! She had a lot of fun. She loved the water and looked adorable in her swimsuit. Mom and Grandma Annette took her to Great Grandma Putmnams pool we lasted almost 2 hours!!
• Sunday May 16th Aevriwoke up this morning and laughed and laughed at mommy. Jerico and I laughed our heads of at her because she was so funny when she laughs. It totally sounds fake. Aevri also had a lot of fun at church. Aevri entertained the people sitting behind us. She smiled laughed and even blew bubbles at them. What a dork! She loves attention. She also loves church because she loves looking around and seeing new things.

Aevri is also a slobberly mess, loves to chew on toys, and blow bubbles. She is better than me at blowing her lips. I think that about sums up the last two weeks. It would probably easier to remember things if I didn't wait so long to "blog" them. Oh well.

Here are some pictures of my cute little girl and her CHUBBY CHEEKS

Is she not the cutest? She is so much fun and has turned into a momma's girl. She smiles all the time and talks ALL the time. Even to herself. She likes to stand up on my legs and look right at my face and talk. So much fun! She is the best baby. She even sleeps 10 hours a night. Wow am I lucky. I get to go back to work tomorrow so thanks to those who will be getting to help me out to watch her.

We wanted to go out for "Valentines Day" on Saturday night. Grandma and Grandpa Graff are always wanting to tend, so they offered to watch her while we went out. Here's Aevri in her car seat getting ready to go. She was so funny when I was putting her in her carseat. I talked to her for 5 minutes and she was entertained the whole time. She even cracked a few smiles (at least I thought they were smiles). She loves to be talked to and does really good at following with her eyes.

Here are some more pictures of her after we got home from dinner. I LOVE this picture. She looks so old all dressed up. Jerico and I went to Iggy's for dinner (we figured it wouldn't be very busy) we were right. We got right in. We were kind of nervous after passing Texas Road House that had 50 people outside, outback 15 people outside, and Red Lobster 20 people. We went and got "Fat Free' Yogurt after. (I'm trying to be on a diet). After that we stayed and hung out at my parents for a while, Mishaun, Lakyn, Bailey, Morgan, and Nykell all got to play with Aevri. Had a ton of fun. It's always nice to get out and have a reason to get dressed!

These pictures were way to fun not to scapbook and post. She looks way to big in that bumbo. I don't know why I'm trying to make her grow up faster. She is still such a good baby and so much fun she is getting to the stage where she is looking around and starting to have fun with us. I've been taking her out a lot more. I guess I'm done being stuck in the house all day! We've visted work, nykell at work, went to church twice, and to lunch! Wow we are ambitious!! We love this little girl more than anything and love to take lots of pictures of here. Can't wait to get busy and scrapbook them all with my new memory mixer program!

What are two things Jerico absolutely loves? His little girl and the Saints. (and me of course)So what could be better than getting little Aevri a New Orleans Saints outfit. Funny story about the outfit. I had no idea Jerico had bought it for Aevri and I saw it on the internet and tried to order it but it was all sold out. I spent 2 hours searching for other websites that sold it and had no luck. I guess I'm glad I didn't find it because Jerico had already bought it for her and I had no idea. I guess great minds think alike.

Nykell was speaking in church so I had to go. Being a paranoid mom I hadn't taken her to church yet. Jerico was out of town on a golf trip so he couldn't stay home with her so I got her ready and we went to church. Let me just say I'm glad church was at 1. I'm new at this mom thing and it takes quite a bit of time to get you and someone else ready. I will never question families walking into church a half hour late again! ( I managed to make it there before it started)

Don't give up on me

Hello blogging friends! Don't give up on me! I will get back into blogging, now that I have something fun to blog about. I am the proud mama of the sweetest and cutest girl ever!! We are so blessed to have her in our lives, and I'm not just saying that. I was worried about being a mom and having to constantly take care of another person, but now that I've become a mom it is truly an honor to be responsible for another person. I will get some pictures posted so I can brag about how cute she is.
